However, as years passed by, people resorted to finding the easel other uses aside from being a canvass’ support. The basic versions were transformed into the photo easel. This time, it has been used to hold the true and real picture of a still life or a landscape that is seen not only by a painter’s eye but visualized by everybody who can feel the radiant beauty of the surroundings, the people and the world.
The photo easel is relatively smaller in size compared to the standard artist’s variety. To the pleasure of the body, these are commonly known as the photo frames that we find unique in different houses around the village. Such are termed as the photo easel since the very nature of the thing is for holding and support. Most of the classic and modern photoframes consist of this back stand that can be adjusted depending on the angle that we wanted to display the photo.
The photo easel is made in a variety of materials unimaginable. Usually, the frames are built from wood or aluminum in order to compromise lightness with strength and durability. In some cases, these are made from plastic, or padded cushion that display cool, warm and neutral colours which add unique personalities to the frames. Some look cute and jolly, especially those that are intended for a children’s room. In which case, animals, flowers, trees and cartoons are stuffed into the frames. Some look stunning and appealing. Examples include designs that are sleek, smooth, glossy and those that have well-curved ends and corners.
Relatively, the photo easel also comes in various sizes. Popular dimensions include a 4 X 5, 4X6, 5X7, 8X8, 8X10 and the like. When these come in large sizes, the area is usually utilized to accommodate more than one photo. For instance, an 8X10 photo frame is subdivided into two parts. In this manner, one side is used to hold the picture of baby Samantha, while the other half is used to display little Joe’s portrait riding a bike.
Nevertheless, the picture easel has found a niche in almost all corners of a house, a school or a building. Its relevance might be a little unappreciated, but the value of the people and events that these hold mean a lot. A picture is worth a thousand words. Likewise, by keeping photos right at these very places where we spend a bunch of time, is just like preserving the memories which are embedded with it, or more so, being in spirit with the unforgettable experiences, events and people that we keep close in the very bosom of the heart.
